Indeed, this doesn't have anything to do with grub. linux-headers is
not the linux kernel. Make sure you have the linux-image-generic
package installed to automatically get new kernels as they are updated.

So not sure now if this is an issue with Grub2 or the actual update
apps. Installed synaptic which showed all the latest packages on the
system however the Linux 3.9.0-6 was listed but not actually downloaded
yet. Checked it for install and it downloaded. Rebooted system and now
get:

Linu
