Setting Confirmed. I seem to be having constant problems accessing the
pidgin bugtracker. Would someone see if they can report this upstream to
pidgin.im bugtracker please? Thank you.

Can you run

Thanks.

- quit pidgin
- restart
- open up Buddy List
- user in Bonjour group reverted back to original alias

Ok - I have the same problem here. Using pidgin on windows for intranet
chat with mac users. When I change aliases, pidgin forgets them after
restart. Not a big problem but a little annoying though. ;)

I've confirmed it as still "broken", in that it does not perform as I
would expect:
- find a bonjour listed contact "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
- edit the alias to be "Joe Example"
- contact now displayed as "Joe Example"
- stop/start pigdin
- contact now displayed as "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
** Summary
Obviously it's not still an issue for *me* - if I know that a specific
software feature is broken I don't use it.
