I tend to agree with Mathias and tempted to mark this report as invalid. df -P (or --portability) is not affected by BLOCK_SIZE or BLOCKSIZE settings. Just a simple test shows that this setting is ignored with -P (I've just left the header line for clarity but you can see the effect of BLOCKSIZE

I cannot reproduce this bug. The code works as expected, which is to refuse to start mysql if there are less then 4096 Kbytes of free space on the partition where /var/lib/mysql is located. Moreover this fix has been reverted in debian (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=385947). Th
