I am not 100% sure about the modules, but gd.so and pdo.so are in
/usr/lib/php5/20060613+lfs/
About how I am running php5, your guess is as good as mine, I just get a
message about it having crashed when I log in
as noted, the message is really the only thing that bothers me, so don't
waste too m
And one more thing. You mentioned Aprelium's abyss web server.
Does php5 crash on command line or when running from that web server?
It's not clear from your bugreport.

it crashed at startup without loading any page from the server, which doesn't
make much sense to me, so there is no code involved that I am aware of.
Something that I didn't think about including in the report though is
that I am not running PHP in Apache but in Aprelium's abyss w
