We skipped Qt 5.1 because of problems with that and now it's Qt 5.2 that
will be hopefully uploaded soon. Also there this problem is fixed, but
there is no identified single patch that could be backported to the
older Qt unfortunately.

I can confirm the same bug still exists in 2.8.1-0ubuntu1 in the trusty
libraries. Is it going to be fixed in the package, are will we just
wait for Qt5.1?

As mentioned in my comment above, it turned out that the bug needs both
Qt 5.1 and QtCreator 2.8. Qt 5.1 was aimed to have in Ubuntu already but
because of some regressions on Unity8 on device it was postponed a bit.
If wanted, Qt 5.1 is usable on desktop by adding ppa:canonical-
qt5-edgers/qt5-be

True, although it was found out that it was really fixed when QtC 2.8 is
used in combination with Qt 5.1.1. But for QtC part it's fixed in PPA.
