Do you think we could change the title of this Bug to also indicate the
problem in 64bit version of the system and in more laptop versions? I
have Dell Inspiron 15 with 64bit Ubuntu and also have the same issue.
There are also several other threats on forums indicating similar
problems on other lap

I have tried the version 3.9 from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.9-saucy/ and that annoying
problem shows up again.
Seems that the lastest mainline kernel did not fix this bug.

I reverted back to kernel 3.5.0-27-generic and now it works smoothly. Something
seems to be wrong in the kernel...
I have also tried the version 3.9 from

I have exact same problem on My Dell INSPIRON 15. On Ubuntu 12.10 or
12.04 - no problems with Ethernet connections. Now, in Ubuntu 13.04 the
