Still undecided after 4 months of reporting? I would happy to see Ubuntu

Until this bug is fixed, see below a workaround to configure and persist
the mouse speed setting:
- Open Terminal, then:
xinput --list --short
- Find the id of your mouse and use below:
xinput --set-prop "Device Accel Constant Deceleration"

Same problem. 13.04 on Lenovo thinkpad X230. The problem is intermittent
for me; at times, the settings revert immediately after closing the
window; otherwise, they'll be temporarily saved, and then revert upon
reboot. Hitting 'x' versus alt+f4 produces varied and seemingly random
results as to whe
I also found that dpi (dots per inch) scale settings within Wine were
not saved, but I had assumed it was an isolated unrelated problem.
Could this be a more general problem of not saving settings of many kinds?

I've have the same problem.
I've tested with Logitech M505 and M525 on two different 13.04 machines. On
12.04 and 12.10 worked like a charm.

Same with my installation. It worked until a few days ago - I do not
remember the exact last update but the effect is exactly as described. I
use a high resolution mouse and the settings render it nearly useless.
