I have the same problem, downgraded to the gdb 7.5 from Ubuntu 12.10.
Notice the following Qt Creator bug report, it is said that it is
"caused by the GDB regressions" and "there is not much Qt Creator can do
here".

It seems that it is qtcreator's gdb plugin bug. I've tested 2.7.0 from
raring repository and 2.7.1 from Digia. Looks like behavior change in
gdb since 7.6. It is not gdb core bug because I successfully debugged my
app from gdb command line interface.

specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu
in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source
packages so that people
