Looks like it could be. I coulden't code a "hello world" prog to save my
life :) . just noticed it was still an issue. day 2 of Linux in my life

Negative, no change. Tested using Ubuntu 9.04 LiveCD.
/var/log/acpid does not appear to be on the system, could not use Method 3 from
HotkeyResearch.
