Forget it, if there's an (almost) invisible window (e.g. 1x1 pixel
window size), one has to figure out which it might be and kill it in the
tty console with `kill` (or `pkill` if you want), then a terminal can be
opened with Ctrl+Alt+t.

complains `error: Cannot autolaunch D-Bus without X11 $DISPLAY` when run
in console opened with Strg+Alt+F5)?

Same problem here after upgrading to 13.04 (previously had problems with
this early on with 12.04). I'm running nvidia-current (304) with a
9600GT (desktop not mobile).

and relative bars. I see some packages have been removed for unity. i
reinstall unity desktop (ubuntu-desktop) but desktop have been without
sidebar and toolbars
