Looking at the log files it looks like there was a crash during the
package install process which could have been due to faulty memory.
Regardless, given that you were able to install successfully later on I
am setting the bug to invalid.

Later I simply tried reinstalling and it was successful, i'm enjoying
Ubuntu right now!
