I fixed this problem (for the Italian language, obviously) by adding the
following line to the /usr/share/locale.alias file:
it_IT it_IT.UTF-8
Maybe something similar should be done for Spanish and any other
language that does not work. I'm not sure this is is the only (or the
best!) wa
If launched from a terminal, this is the error message:
WARNING: setlocale() failed for es_ES.
However, all the locales are installed with wesnoth-data.
