Similar problem here.
Since Feisty my DVD burning is quite erratic depending on the kernel upgrade.
Now I can not burn DVDs at all. But on previous kernel upgrade I could burn -R
DVDs but not +R.
Also I think there is a lot of funny stuff going on with the way the hard disks
and CD-DVD units ar

I have experienced the same bug.
DVD writing worked in all previous versions of Ubuntu, but not in Ubuntu 6.04.
I have attached the needed files.
