"aplay -Dplughw:0 /usr/share/sounds/*up.wav" does not stutter. None of
the wavs I've tried have stuttered. Also, interestingly enough I have
mythtv installed on this computer as well and playing mp3' s through its
internal player does not sutter but using mythtv to play videos (via
xine and/or mp
