In further testing and discussion with the io_edgeport maintainer, I was
able to confirm that this is a new Digi device with a new jUSB ID number
(io_edgport supports the Digi Edgeport/4i) not supported yet. I suspect
the only difference between the devices is RJ45 vs DB9 serial
connectors.

to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.8 kernel[0] (Not a kernel in the daily directory) and install both
the linux-image and linux-image-extra .deb packages.
