Other flavors like Bodhi Linux also call themselves by name in the GRUB menu even though they're based on Ubuntu as well. So IMHO your argument is invalid for Xubuntu; for Mint you're right, they should fix that themselv

Linux Mint is not a part of the Ubuntu Archive. I would not want the flavors fighting for precedence in the GRUB menu. Right now, all the flavors should be able to happily co-exist on an installed system. The same kernel is shared by all except for Ubuntu Studio. -- You received this bug notif
