This also happens with xcompmgr, so it's not a compiz bug (which is what
Travis Watkins already said). I can also confirm that this bug is
present with both radeon and intel cards.
This bug also affects programs that use gtkmozembed (e.g. devhelp),
making them difficult to use.

Yes Johnathan, that is the open source ati driver. So I guess this would
be a bug of the driver and not compiz?... Anyone with intel or nvidia
having this problem too??

Yes, I'm using an ati card (Radeon 9000) and my xorg.conf says the
driver is "ati", I think that's the open source one?

I can confirm the same problem. It happens to me on all 3 links you gave
above. Maybe this has to do with the problems with compiz / ati oss
drivers witch make scrolling laggy and a bit slow. Do you gave a ati
graphic card Johnathan?
