Seems to be a different issue. I am getting an:
Error while Storing folder 'Inbox'.
Summary and folder mismatch, even after a sync
which is causing the messages not to be marked as read.

I am now getting this problem with Evolution 2.30.2 on the latest Maverick.
Mark messages as read, logout without closing and the messages are still shown
as unread when I log in again.

According to Upstream it isn't fixed and I have made a newer bug report
a duplicate of this one. Maybe this should be reverted so there is no
need to open a third one since I have exact the same problem.
