I have some problems:
183 mb after i use HUD with firefox,
249 mb afret i use HUD with Eclipse after firefox.
I think, that memory leaking related with menu size.

I don't see any record of relevant fixes in Unity 6.12 so that does not
explain why I don't see the bug.
Please try removing PPAs (with ppa-purge), at least those that are
likely to relate to indicators: Stormcloud, Nitro, Nijel, Firefox-beta,
Pidgin.

Neah, that is Shutter, a smart screenshot program; I do not have any
custom indicator. I only have Shutter since 2 days ago, but the problem
is older.

I'm running Ubuntu 12.10 too, but my unity-panel-service is 13.9MB and
hud-service 2.6MB.
Although I have upgraded to Unity 6.12 early. That might be one factor.
The bigger factor is likely non-standard libraries, like custom
indicators. Have you installed any non-standard indicators? What is the
