you just requested the removal of autopano without checking what would
be broken with this decision?

Lazza is right. This issue is not fixed. It is more broken than before.
I was able to use a deb from here.

Kinda defeats the purpose of switching to autopano-sift-c

PS: I forgot to point out a thing... as you probably know it takes 8
points to estimate an homography, hence the align_image_stack has a so
low recognition level that it's plain useless.

You mean the "align_image_stack" function that on a couple of almost
identical pictures finds only 3 matching points? In comparison, a naive
Harris Corner Detector we made at the university with Matlab is much
more powerful... If you are talking about the other 4-5 tools that Hugin
claims to suppor
It appears that hugin now includes this functionality.

It seems like you removed autopano-sift and there is NO autopano-sift-c
alternative in any of the standard repositories. Now how are we supposed
to stich our panoramas? All by hand? Or am I missing some hidden
configuration to get this alternative from the repositories?
