Toshiba L30-134. Trying this ends up in auto-probing BIOS:

I hava a Toshiba Satellite L30-115 and model=toshiba model=uniwill-m31worked to
enable sound on it.

Headphones seem to work after resume, even if speakers are silent.
Playing around with alsamixer does not help.
However, the microphone works, which it did not in Edgy. An improvement!

Yes, sometimes un-hibernation causes sound to disapper. But strictly
speaking, I have not tested if it is reproduced every time. In some
cases, waking up from Suspend-To-RAM state also makes the same
effect...

This works - but not after resume from hibernation. And I guess a better
place for 'model=6stack-digout' is /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base instead of
/etc/modprobe.d/options.

I resolved this issue adding certain option to snd-hda-intel module.
With model=6stack-digout everything works. I placed it to
/etc/modprobe.d/options file
But still there are many unused volume bars for different audio channels,
though only two actually needed: front and surround - they control

Sound worked on kernel 2.6.17 (Edgy), but only with builtin speakers.
Headphones did not work. Also, I had to unload the snd-hda-intel kernel
module when hibernating the system (added to MODULES in /etc/default
/acpi-support). Now, with kernel 2.6.20, everything is silent - but the
