If alsa blocks, gxine is caught. Anyway, this isn't about xine-lib, so
I'm rejecting this bug for now.

This is either a xine-lib problem or an ALSA configuration problem (I'm
assigning to xine-lib for now); gxine knows nothing of audio drivers
except, if you use -A, for which one to tell xine-lib to use. The
question is why the ALSA output driver failed...
As a workaround, you could try "gxine -A o
