Nah the file is named correctly:
>>> dpkg -L kdesudo |grep /de/
/usr/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES
/usr/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/kdesudo.mo
However the original po doesn't actually have translations inside...
rather unhandy.

Ah, no I get it... kdesud.mo is an entirely different thing it's the
kdesu daemon. Unrelated to kdesudo though.

The problem is that the program language file is not properly named. If
you look at the folder /usr/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/ you will see it
has the name is kdesud.mo. Try to rename it to kdesudo.mo and you will
see if it works.
