You'll want your '/etc/network/interfaces' file to look like: "auto lo iface lo inet loopback auto eth0 iface eth0 inet dhcp" For every network adapter there should be auto and inet lines. Then network-manager will configure and manage all of your network adapters. Let me know if I can be of an

I modified it last time when I had Hoarty (If I remember correctly), after that, all modifications to /etc/network/interfaces have been done with Ubuntu network configuration, NetworkManager and KNetworkManager. It was working fine, I didn't modify the file, it just stopped working on an upgrade
