Thanks, it works. It does also reduce the width by 1px effectively, but
it's better than a missing line in the middle of the screen.
In case anyone with the same problem wants to make this permanent.

Workaround - change the screen size to (Width+1)x(Height), e.g. for 1200x1920:
xrandr --fb 1201x1920
