I'm closing this bug for samba as it seems related to nautilus and
gnome-vfs2.
Using the command line or the cifs module works according to the report.

I don't think this is a Samba bug. I experience the same symptoms. In
addition, folders in shares will often change to text icons after I open
them (or try to open them). Some folders in shares are sometimes not
listed, but show up again after a refresh. It does not make a difference
if I mount the

I suspect that this could be due to Microsoft changing the SMB protocol
enough that vista & samba won't talk properly. Due to this, there is
improved vista support coming in samba 3.0.25, but that will not make it
into feisty.
