I honestly believed the behaviour got much worse in the proposed package. Since thunderbird kept on freezing right after initiating any online activity (sync imap or rss) and going online, I was forced to try out evilution again. It seemed to work great until I discovered after a week that it was

I can't see why the changes in the version in proposed would cause an issue like this. Are you sure that this definitely only happens with the version in proposed? And if it's hanging or crashing, then you need to provide a stacktrace (see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs). If it's crashing
