I'm not sure it's a fix, but I just upgraded to TB 2.0.0.0, and the
problem is gone. If there's anything anyone would like me to do with
this new version of Thunderbird in order to compare, I'd be too happy to
assist.

Hello ricardisimo,
Thank you for the bug report, I can confirm this report, and I receive
the same message you are when selecting the other dictionaries, I
presume the solution would be to list only dictionaries listed as
installed in Thunderbird.
I will report this upstream also.
