packaged kernel on amd64 SMP.

Had the same problem. I think it has something to do with this:

I'm also having problems with Hddtemp in Feisty,
Firstly it only recognised my IDE drives and then after restarting
hddtemp various times and trying a different hddtemp.db file and
removing and re-adding the applet have i managed to get all my drives to
be displayed as they used to in edgy.
