For the record, this is an 802.11a/b/g/n/ac USB WiFi adapter based on
the Broadcom BCM43526 chip, for which no Linux driver has appeared yet.
There have been some reports of it partially working (no ac) using
ndiswrapper.

cdoebbler, thank you for testing the requested mainline kernel. Please
answer the following four questions:
1) What is your full computer model (ex. Compaq Mini 110c-1100DX PC)?
2) Could you please plug the Netgear USB device in, unplug all other USB
devices, execute the following in a terminal,

Ti
cdoebbler I beg your pardon as:
dpkg -i *.deb
should have been:
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
Just delete the folder mainline, then run:
cd ~/Desktop && mkdir mainline && cd mainline && wget
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.6.2-quantal/linux-headers-3.6.2-030602-generic_3.6.2-030602.2012101
I ran the script without being in root and got an error message:
dpkg: error: requested operation requires superuser privilege
I also tried to run the script again and got the error:
mkdir: cannot create directory `mainline': File exists

cdoebbler, if one wanted to install the mainline kernel, one would execute the
following at a terminal:
cd ~/Desktop && mkdir mainline && cd mainline && wget
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.6.2-quantal/linux-headers-3.6.2-030602-generic_3.6.2-030602.201210121823_i386.deb
&& wget
I cut and pasted them from Wikipage?
