This is the same issue on i386 arch.
Also, according to the other php modules existing on Ubuntu (in my case
the one installed among ming : curl, gd, mcrypt, mysqli...), the
comments are not " /* ... */ " but only "; ..."
A simple patch is provided.

While the suggested patch prevents the comment which causes the error,
I'd like to point out that the error message *reports the wrong path to
the file*. So it's not quite as trivial as that.
