Just wanted to confirm that this problem was reselved for me via
installation of the ppa described in #11, as well
(2:2.20.18~quantal~ppa1 in my case).

Disregard last question - I spent some time on the Interwebs and found
the answer:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:glasen/intel-driver
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-intel
Before researching this issue, I didn't even know the driver was called
"xserver-xorg-video-intel".
I have the same problem. While using UXA results in the titlebars being
rendered correctly, it seems to drain the battery much quicker.
Is it possible to install the 2.20.15 driver in Ubuntu 12.10?

Actually, 2.20.15 has not yet been released in Ubuntu (only 2.20.14 may
be found in Raring).

@gianluca: Thanks for pointing that out. You're right; switching from
SNA to UXA fixes the problem. I've set the report as affecting the intel

In my case the problem disappeared using UXA acceleration instead of SNA
acceleration in Intel drivers.
