Not only that but there is no octave-video package in Ubuntu. The best
thing you could do would be to send an email to the OctaveForge mailing
list at octave-...@lists.sourceforge.net. Unless I am missing something
this is an upstream issue and not a bug in Ubuntu.

patched source code), it's not hosted by Ubuntu but in the OctaveForge

(several changes from the ancient ffmpeg version octave-video-1.0.2 uses) and
