I can confirm "X9Tim".
I made an update from 12.04 to 14.04.1 and first I expected the failure due to
the online update.
Then I installed from DVD the ISO but the issue happened again. Hardware didn`t
change at all. Under
12.04 it worked out of the box with a new installation.
