Ubuntu better. Now that the 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon release of Ubuntu is out,
we were wondering if you can still reproduce this issue. Could you
please download and try the new version of Ubuntu from
http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/do
With vanilla kernel 2.6.21, both hibernate & suspend work perfectly, to
my surprise, whereas Ubuntu's 2.6.20-15 still hangs on resume from
either.

I've got the same problem with Feisty too, and also had suspend to RAM
working fine with Edgy/6.10. Toshiba Portege 3480CT
Relevant section of Kernel Suspend debug output (as per

I have the same problem.
When I had Ubuntu 6.10, suspend (to ram) worked.
Now, I upgraded to 7.10 (kernel 2.6.20-15-generic) and I cannot resume from
suspent-to-ram.
I only see flashing numlock and scroll lock LEDs on my keyboard.
