I install 2.6.27-2-generic kernel (upgrading alpha4 to alpha 5) and I
can confirm that with this kernel the bug remains.

The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.
There are one of two ways you should be able to test:
1) If you are comfortable
maybe a bit late, but confirmed on my sony vaio vgn cr 26, dmesg throws the
same warning for sonypi. Not able to use the brightness fn keys.
Spicctrl isn't working as expected as well.
Bluetooth is getting detected but the other devices doesnt see my lappy. My
laptop doesnt have a switch for this

I have the same issue. I cannot control sony vaio (PCG-K13)brightness
and function keys after installing fiesty. i cannot control hibenate,
suspend either. Please help.
