update-manager-kde handles relaese-announcement fetching for intrepid ->
intrepid +1 upgrades. As it is all-new code, it shouldn't have this
issue.

I have the same problem. To answer the question in the duplicate: For me
it is clean upgrade from the latest Feisty to Gutsy (so it should work).

For what it's worth I origaninally installed Feisty Testing Herd 4 or 5.
Could Adept somehow be trying to upgrade to release version? Is it even
necessary given my '/etc/apt/sources.list'?
