klakier, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release

Ηι! I also have the same problem. But for me it happens to all resolutions.
Somehow it seems related to pm. Previously I had dynpm. Now I am using profile
with a high setting and no more flashing for me.

I should also note that the problem does not affect me when using fglrx,
but I don't want to use it, because its desktop performance is similar
to using radeon with "low" power profile. Also AMD has recently
deprecated this GPU and no new drivers will support it.
