I've reported this bug referring to Linux mintdebian (LMDE),and yes,it
is still there with any Firefox version I've tried so far,including the
current 17.0.01,even in safe mode: the Open Directory button in
about:support doesn't work.

I couldn't reproduce it in Ubuntu Desktop and firefox:

What I've done is:
1.- boot the computer
2.- introduce about:support i
I think that calls nsLocalFile(profileDir).reveal(); which ends up
either calling gnomevfs or giovfs ShowURIForInput(). I'm on Kubuntu, I
have libgnomevfs2-0 installed, dunno about giovfs. I hope this helps.
