Hi,
here is a Xorg.log from latest daily liveCD of quantal amd64 (august,
27th).
Nothing was installed except ssh to let me stop lightdm and get the log
from /var/log (otherwise, as Xorg restart every few seconds... It's not
easy to do anything directly).

I'll update the bug report using the lastest daily of quantal this week
end.
Is there a command line to generate a report using apport?
Otherwise, I'll only be able to get you the Xorg log (as, without desktop...
I'll only have command line access).

Both xorg logs show traces of nvidia, so I can't say for sure what's
going on, other than that those logs are useless and you want to make
sure all traces of nvidia are removed before you create a Xorg log :)
