The Unity controls have been removed from gcc which deprecates that
issue

it's not that trivial, the auto synchronization between widget and
config is trivial to set compared to have to put delayed callbacks to do
the work manually

Thank you for your bug report, that's because binding a gsettings key
value to a widget let to updates of the key to each events, that could
be optimized but at the same time it's only a few writes when changing
config which is pretty minor as an issue
