rotates fine if compiz is off, and compiz runs fine otherwise...

Confirmed on toshiba satellite a105-s4134 with intel graphics chipset
when using hardy 8.04 alpha 6 when using the included screen resolution
tool...rotates properly, but will not respond after things are rotated.

Confirmed on Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10 with Intel i810 driver on a HP/Compaq dc7600
desktop (using "xrandr -o left").
On the other hand, rotating works OK with compiz in Gutsy 7.10 using the nVidia
restricted drivers with
an nVidia 5200 card

confirmed on thinkpad x61 tablet
also, ugly artifacts when rotating and using metacity

Update. Compiz is also not compatible with the screen rotate from System
Preferences and Screen Resolution Preferences.
