yes, i did. the suggested fix did not work, but the problem disappeared
on a fresh install of feisty final. unless someone else reports a
problem, i'd say this bug is fixed.

i've been using gdmsetup to configure things. i've tried checking and
unchecking numerous boxes. unfortunately, i'm on vacation at the moment
(and thus away from my computer), so i can't double

gdmsetup? Are you sure you clicked on the box to enable it? The custom
config has no AutomaticLoginEnable=true key
