The following sequence causes a crash for me consistently:
1. Start LibreOffice writer (lowriter &).
2. Type in something.
3. File -> Save.
4. Type in a filename.
5. Click save.
Sometimes, the crash occurs when typing in a filename. At other times,
it happens when clicking save.
No file is saved
Marking Confirmed based on crash file being attached.

Please note, that I have just checked on this new system, that libreoffice
crashes every time using this procedure:
1: start libreoffice from Konsole by typing soffice
2: then select new spreadsheet
3: type foo into a cell
4: Press Ctrl+S to save
5: LO crashes.
On this particular system, it did

Christopher, I have tried doing what you said, however, when I run ubuntu-bug,
I get this error:

crash report is missing. Please follow these instructions to have apport report
a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer.
One may execute at the Terminal:
sudo apt-get update && sud
I will try to clarify: Libreoffice crashes immediately when I press Save. This
is before any Save Dialog is shown. So I do not get to select which folder to
save in.
Please note, I use Kubuntu 12.04, so this might be a KDE related thing...
