Xubuntu Desktop amd64 has the same issue, and typing "s" after bios
screen works as well. Lubuntu does not seem to have the issue.

Fabio I was testing the daily Ubuntu Desktop amd64 and encountered what
I believe is the same as this bug. Anyway, I tried with a persistent
USB went directly into the Ubunut scroll and then into a dead dark
screen no cursor. I then tried a USB created with the dd command and it
booted in the sam
