In the future you want to read our wiki. It explains that and much more and

It turns out that using Wine 3.0 fixes the issue! :)
Wasn't aware that PlayOnLinux ships not with the latest wine version by

This problem is still present on Ubuntu 16.04 with PlayOnLinux 4.2.10
and Wine 1.6.2.
Every https-site I visit is unreachable for Safari.
Any other tips except using the latest releases of those apps? :P

logs:
err:winediag:SECUR32_initNTLMSP ntlm_auth was not found or is outdated. Make

winbind package of your distribution.

Fixed by setting Wine to version 1.4.1 in the script.
You could set manually to version 1.4.1, or reinstall Safari should fix this
bug.
Reopen if it doesn't work.

Aymeric/MulX.

I don't think this bug is related to PlayOnLinux but to wine instead.
I let it to PlayOnLinux, until I checked that this is not a patched wine
version provided through PlayOnLinux.
