I see this more as a problem within Ubuntu and not so with avidemux
itself.
Can you restest the behaviour on your system again? In meantime I set
this to incomplete.
When it is also gone at your computer please set it to Fix released.
When it is still there set the ticket back to new.

With the videe you provide here. There is no crasher anymore, but the
converting is not working how avidemux tells me.

The stacktrace should gave you a clue of crash. It shows the functions
and the line with issue affected.
I am now affected with the bug 1022526. So I cannot reproduce this bug
until fix the other , but I attach the example video file.
