we installed gobby among an ubuntu 12.04, a kubuntu 12.04, an ubuntu 12.10
(mine) and a fedora 17.
tried to connect to fedora, and it segfault on all *buntus.
tried to make a server on both ubuntus and all other *buntus segfaulted.
should be easy to reproduce.
dont have much more logs to provide

I'm afraid that with this information I cannot help you, and I think
running "apport-collect 1009918" will not post the missing information,
but I may be wrong.
