In order to have amsn in precise and quantal you need to ask for inclusion in debian first. After a sync can be made from debian to ubuntu. Amsn has been removed since some CVE [1] weren't fixed and it was lack of upstream support for this. This week I've read on the amsn offical mailing list [2
