I have just tried to install the 3.2.0-24 kernel but got a error.
Perhaps you could give me instruction of which packages to use and what
to do with them.
This is the output of what I did and it failed. (maybe I did it wrong)
sudo dpkg -i linux-headers-3.0.0-0300_3.0.0-0300.201107220917_all.deb
>From an Oneiric install, can you install the Precise kernel and see if
you still see this issue. The Precise kernel can be downloaded from the
following under "Builds":

I have just tried Ubuntu 11.10 & it boots up to the desktop without
issue
the apport report was generated from my current ubunu 11.04 sytem on
this same computer that gets the kernel panic with 12.04

When I start the Live CD booting up it only runs for a short time & then
crashes back to a terminal with a Kernel Panic.
I get this error with both 32bit & 64bit versions.
Here is what is on the screen:
Can you capture a screenshot of the panic and post it to the bug.
Also, can you test the 11.10 Live CD to see if it also has this same issue?
